A 1.5 hour virtual workshop for teens on strategies to cope with both worry and panic.
What will be covered:
Why we have anxiety and how to build awareness of triggers.
Strategies for combating thinking traps such as catastrophizing.
Basic mindfulness practices such as breathing and grounding exercises.
Distress tolerance and emotion regulation skills.
These workshops are geared towards youth ages 13-17.
Participants will be provided with copies of handouts that will be emailed following the workshop.
Angie is a Registered Psychotherapist with extensive training in CBT (Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy).
