Reiki & Sound Therapy
Sound Therapy & Reiki are modalities that work holistically to bring balance to all aspects of your well-being. Guided meditation, visualization, the energy work from each modality, sounds, songs and other supportive techniques are used to encourage you into deep states of relaxation. Miriam has a background in Psychology, 200HR Yoga Teacher Training (300HR underway), Life Coach training, and many other resources to share with you to help you achieve your desired well-being outcomes. Research shows that there are many benefits to the deep relaxation that these modalities elicit, including improved sleep, engaging the parasympathetic nervous system (naturally bringing calm and peace to the mind & body), reduced pain/anxiety/depression, and more.
Our sessions may include:

What to Expect with Miriam
-
Meet & Greet
At the 15 minute Meet & Greet we can discuss your health goals and how I can help you achieve them. You will learn more about Sound Therapy and Reiki healing.
-
Initial Session
During your initial visit, we’ll review your intake forms to determine your desired outcomes. We may determine a plan to work on a specific area (ex. insomnia, anxiety, etc), or a plan for general well being (ex: calming your nervous system, rejuvenation, restoration, etc.). We’ll move from sitting together to getting you comfortably settled on the massage table (fully clothed). We begin with grounding and guiding you into deep states of relaxation. The sounds, songs and energy are customized to your intentions. You’ll be guided to transition slowly out of the session, with time for sharing and any questions at the end. You’ll receive self-care recommendations to support the integration of benefits from the session.

Follow-up sessions
During follow-up sessions, we’ll connect with how you’re feeling/doing and review your desired outcomes. You'll be provided with encouragement and support as you share, along with time for any questions and/or concerns. We’ll revisit the trajectory for your follow-up session(s), which are similar in structure to the initial visit.
